This is Ellie-May (initially called Ellie but then renamed Ellie-May after the pretty one in the film the Beverly Hillbillies!) born 17th December 2002 and she is the daughter of our Grace.
She was shown a bit as a puppy/junior and has been reasonably successful, seldom out of the top two in her class, as she is a very good looking hound particularly about the head, which is almost the Bloodhound ideal...
Showing however has never been her favourite occupation she much prefers the leisurely life at home. Neither I should add is trialing. She holds a trialing permit - although there are those who would question how she managed to get it (including me!). Her most memorable outing consisted of starting at the flag - moving rapidly two paces forward and then heading at the fastest speed she has ever traveled back to the car where she refused to move a step further. Her trailing career finishes at this point.
As she has got older she has become more and more blonde (apologies to blondes everywhere) she lives in a little world of her own. Sometime amazing us and we think herself with her ability to do naughty things. Her latest trick is very quietly steel any food we leave on the kitchen worktop - she has developed the ability to stretch for a great distance so she can reach. Its taken us a while to track down the culprit as she is so very good at it!
